This entire website is generated using pandoc. Every page you see is nothing but a markdown file. For the things that pandoc can’t do I’m using its Lua scripting interface and my Python build script. All of this gets served by a small linux VM that only runs nginx. It used to be hosted on Github Pages, but I’ve since moved away from Github entirely.
No javascript, only HTML and a bit of CSS. More places on the web should be like that.
